Social Media Internin Africa
Art in Tanzania
Art in Tanzania's Media Department focuses on using digital media outlets like social media, web pages, and blogs to give visibility to our programs and for marketing purposes and educate the public. We accept remote work as well.
Our community-based programs' goal is to empower the local communities and individual people.
Interns experience daily life in Tanzania while also witnessing the growth of one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa.
We use social media to empower the program's visibility for the public and as a marketing tool. Often, we use it to provide information about our work in the communities.
Our Facebook pages have more than 50k followers, a solid visibility base for the Tanzanian public.
We highlight media in network development and constantly wish to develop tools to reach our target groups in universities and the private sector.
Our media tools include arts, music, and film. In addition, we offer an immersive experience for students who desire to use innovative and creative African media tools.
Our media is advocacy, visibility, and marketing-focused. In addition, we provide in-country orientation, training, and academic tutoring for the program.
Academic-level team leaders are daily supervising your internship. In addition, we monitor your work with a weekly plan and report system to secure you proceed well in your study program.
The internship outcome is to learn to use and get experience to implement your education in developing country conditions with limited capacitation. Also, to better understand the opportunities in a fast-growing economy.
Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Your program can be from 2 weeks up to 12 months.
The program is ongoing so that we can adjust your start dates. We accept applications from all students and alumni. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities.
You can also conduct thesis and related tasks. The typical daily tasks include practical fieldwork, planning, reporting, and visibility tasks.
We provide 2x the local minimum wage of USD 100 per month for paid internships payable when you stay a minimum of 4 weeks. When remote work, the placement is unpaid.
The start and end dates are flexible and accommodate other travel arrangements in Tanzania. However, international flights, student permits, accommodation, and meals are personal costs.
You and your visiting friends can enjoy sustainable tourism, safaris, and local tour options at a low cost.
We need your tentative arrival and departure dates to book you in and open your account.
